It's almost spring!

It's been 70 degrees all week and our bees are so happy. Our hive has grown quite a bit because of the warm winter, and it's so healthy and full of bees that we are going to split the hive soon. We'll buy another hive and put it in a new location in our yard, then move some of the frames over to the new hive and purchase a new queen. This keeps the hives healthy, if they get too big then the whole hive will swarm. We also plan on purchasing another hive in May and keeping it on one of my doctors' property. We should have plenty of honey in the fall!

Mason and I got to have a visit with Grandma Pam, Aaron, Anna and Aubree this weekend. Mason had a great time crawling all over the floor with all of them and playing with his birthday gift from Anna and Aaron and his Easter gift from Oma and Boompa. Thank you so much everyone! It was great to see you all. The video below is Mason playing with his birthday gift. Anything he can hit with a hammer is a toy worth playing with.

Such a big boy!

Mason took his first steps last week and has been getting better at walking since. He's always very proud of himself and can get into even more mischief now. He has his own language, he talks to us all the time and mimics everything we say. He says "Yeah" to everything and says "Uh-oh" and lots of "Mama" and "Dada." He loves looking out the window at the neighborhood, swimming with Dad on his days off, playing outside in the yard and crawling all over the dog. He's getting more and more fun each day!

Mason is one!

We celebrated Mason's first birthday with a weekend in Boise to see all of his grandparents. He had his very own cake and tried Grandpa Russell's homemade ice cream for the first time.

He was very spoiled and got a lot of fun gifts.

We had lunch with our friend Aunnie and Mason took a few selfies with her. 

 We also spent some time with our friends Ernie and Jackie and their adorable kids! Mason is big enough to play with them now, he spent a lot of the night crawling after Nolan. He thought it was hilarious.

We had a lot of fun seeing everyone and celebrating Mason's birthday. He's crawling all over the place, is starting to try and stand on his own and he will take steps when we help him. He mimics what we say a lot, sometimes he sounds like he is talking to us. He pushes anything with wheels all over the house, he loves the vacuum cleaner and he's interested in everything. He is also one adorable little boy! We love him so much!

Mason's First Christmas

Mason had a fabulous first Christmas. He was so spoiled by all of his grandparents and aunts and uncles! Santa brought him a car that has all kinds of buttons and levers for him to play with.

Mom and Dad were spoiled as well.

Grandma Kelly and Uncle Devon came down for Christmas Day for a visit. Mason had such a good time seeing all of his grandparents while we were in Idaho.

Merry Christmas Eve!

 Mason and I drove up to Jerome with Aunt Aubree.  Boompa and Oma Russell came to pick her up and have a visit with him. He loves seeing them, and especially loves grabbing Grandpa's glasses! The cute owl hat is a gift from Aubree from Argentina!

He also had a visit with Santa Claus this month. He wasn't afraid at all, he patted his beard and just stared at him. 

My parents' neighbors have a horse, and we took Mason to visit him. He looked pretty amazed at seeing such a large animal, but he wasn't afraid! He reached out to pat his nose. Pam, this picture is for you. :) 

And our big news...Mason is CRAWLING!!
